Product Possibility - Counter PDF on e23

Post by wedge_hammersteel »

I was wondering if you (especially SVC) thought that taking all of the ship counters from the e23 PDFs and putting them in their own e23 PDF product would be a good idea. I would buy this.

I'd buy this as well...can never have to many counters. These would also be very helpful for the PBEM games and make it cost effective to have them in one package.

I too would snap this product up in a second.

It would be helpful in PBEM. I didn't think of that.

I personally wouldn't. If I have a physical copy of the Ship Card I have a counter. If I buy the e23 version of the Ship Card I have a counter. Counters without ship cards are worthless. Yes, I recognise that it's really helpful to the PBEM players, but we are in a minority.

I emailed SVC about the possibility of this.
As much as I'd liketo see it, I realize that it'll come down to cost v. profit.

On the plus side, the images are already done...
On the con side, they would have to be manually cut and pasted into a new file (SVC time that could be spent on Star Fleet Marine, ISC War, or FC: Transports Attacked). Then uploaded to SJGames (Leanna time that could be spent on more profitable ventures).

And the biggest drawback of all... anticipated sales in the single digits.

Still, it's nice to have the option to even suggest / discuss this poposal.
Many companies wouldn't even allow such discussion.

Actually, they're already here, for free:

At least some of them. I'll make a note to send the rest of them to Joel when I can.

Ok, I just exported them all to JPG and sent them to Joel to upload this afternoon.

After they appear, Jean may want to point out that page on facebook.

Those are high-res jpgs, which people asked me for, and I presume that I don't also need to post the PDFs.
