weapon questions

Post by computerarif »

I have been reading the Reference Rulebook and have a few questions on some weapons.

1. The PC can fire once every 3 impulse. But the overload shot can be fired only once a turn? Say I fire a overload shot in impulse 6, next impulse 1 can I fire and overload shot then in impulse 3 fire a regular shot?

2. A Web Breaker fired in Shield Cracker form can only damage shields, but can it still do shield burn through even if it was the only weapons fired that volley?

1. Yes, twice per turn, but only one overload shot. Fire overload impulse 1, then regular shot on impulse 4.

2. Shield crackers never do any internal damage. No burn-through. If it does 10 or more damage to shields, all of that is applied to the shield and none goes through.

1) You can overload on 6 and again on impulse 1, but after firing on impulse 1 you would have to wait until impulse 4 before befire firing again.

Note PC have had the 3 impulse delay across turn breaks removed recently, so you can overload on 8 and 1.

2) A web breaker is always the only weapon in a volley, if you fire that and something else then they are both resolved as seperate volleys. Shield crackers can't do burthrough - they only affect shields.
