Distant Armada at Origins?

Post by Jeffr0 »

I am pretty excited about this product.

I will be at Origins.

If you would like to play, please post here and we will work out a time. (It is not currently a scheduled event.)

If you would like to have this game demoed, feel free to ask. If you'd like to play a few serious, competitive games, that's great, too.

Let's do this!

To me one of the things that will be interesting in this module is how weapons like the Hellbore are represented in Starmada.

Hellbore Cannon: RNG 18, ROF 1, ACC 2+, IMP 2, DMG 1 (Slow-Firing)
Hellbore Cannon (Overload): RNG 18, ROF 1, ACC 2+, IMP 3, DMG 1 (Carronade; Slow-Firing)
Hellbore cannons have the following universe-specific effect: impact rolls are made against the lowest of the target ship's shield facets, regardless of the direction from which the attack is made. For example, the Federation CA has shield facets of 3-3-3-2-2-2. If this ship is attacked with a hellbore cannon, the shield rating used for impact rolls is two, even if the attack is made from in front of the CA. In starship construction, Hellbore Cannons incur a x2.0 weapons trait modifier.

Would love to see an AAR not only on the game you played, but on your impressions of the Starmada game system as applied to the SFU.
