Currently ship cards have two add tables on it. one for number of shots fired and one for impulse fired. In my opinion the impulse fired table is a waste of space. I have neve used it and have never seen an opponent use it(20+ different opponents). The impulse fire table is unnecessary because add's like other weapons can only be fired in either defensive fire phase or offensive fie phase of an impulse. I have seen more than one player use the add fired chart as the weapons fired chart and mark off weapons fired there. removing the table from the ship cards would require 4eib note be modified or removed from the rules, but it would clean up ship card.

We [Battlegroup Murfreesboro] use the Impulse fired track quite often. In a large, fllet action - you sometimes have to mark the ADD.Impulse fired chart on a ship to rememebr that it has fired. Otherwise, you might accidantally fire it twice in the same impulse.
The reason to mark this track is that unlike all other weapons, the ADD can be fired once per Impulse as needed; not just once per turn. Under the right circumstances, one can fire their ADD in each of the eight impulses of a single turn.
