Noticed that over on the Mongoose boards. Pleasantly surprised with the Squadron/Fleet box prices, and I'm very curious about the makeup of the Fleet sets. Noticed they also come with drone and torpedo markers. Physical models or counters, I wonder ?

I have to agree there, the costs of the sets do look very good. :D

I agree that the prices are definately within reason. I worry a little bit about the singles. I'm okay with 14.99 for a CA, but 14.99 for 1 frigate? I hope that's a blister of 2.

I expect it'll be like their Noble Armada ships, where you get one large or multiple smaller ships in a blister.

Interesting no Gorns or Tholians on the list. Scoutdad is there any Playtest material out for those 2 races. I am pretty sure you set up a Gorn v. Rom battle so there must be Playtest rules out there for Lizards but what about Lava Heads?

tholians have a couple of ships atm, just as per the original fedcom releases.
gorns should be getting fleets as they are in the rules for initial release

So it's basically the ships from the first four releases?

Federation, Klingons, Romulans, Kzintis, Gorns, and a few pirates and Tholians?

Does that include the 2500 stuff or just the ACtA rules for SFU?

Both.

All the SL2500 miniatures that are ready at this time (fleet and squadron boxes for Feds, Klingon, Romulan) and blisters for ships in those boxes, along with a token few stragglers like the Fed DW.

I'm sure the remaining Feds, Orions, Tholians, and general ships will come along, in due time. It looks like it was a real push to get the first batch out.

The hardback ACTA:SF book is also shipping at the same time.

Got my order in with the Aussie distributor: Rules, Feds, Roms, Klinks in squadron boxes.

Because I wanted to add another squadron box to my three fleet box order, I called Mongoose today to do that. The 2500s are shipping next week. He said to expect my squadron box a few days earlier than my fleet boxes, but that both would ship next week.
