Since I have to make copies to play the game having PDFs of the SSD books should be available IMNSHO.

Actually, there is a plan to do this, but there are a LOT of things to do, of which this is only one.

Many of the books do not exist in a format that can easily become a PDF, and that requires a day or two of work per book, a day or two that is not spent on a new product. That may let us do a book a month, but that is going to be a long process given how many books there are!

what I think would be really neat is a collective online rulebook that has every single thing you need for the game in it and to find it all you have to do is type in a search box what you are looking for. Finds it quick, cuts down on the paperwork and the weight of transport and allows you to move along quicker than spending half your daily gaming alottment time trying to look up some obscure rule . I mean that would certainly cut out wasted time and end the useless BS arguments that make people loose interest.

Putting the SSD's into .pdf is easily done, but getting it to print like it comes in the book, now that's hard.

Mike, there is the electronic Master Rule Book for SFB, which is in .pdf format and is searchable.

The SSD book from basic set and from one of the R-modules... R4? are also available as .pdfs.

Go to e23.sjgames.com and search to find them, publisher is listed as "Amarillo Design Bureau".

We are slowly moving the SSD books into e23. (Basic Set and R4 are there now, and R3 will probably happen in early January.)

Three problems...

1. You players have let us know very bluntly that until we update them to current Block Four November standards, you won't buy them. It takes two weeks of Petrick time per book. That's very slow and very expensive since he cannot do that while doing CL44 or something else.

2. Sales so far are NOT justifying the cost of the Petrick time. If you really want R2, you had better buy R4 and R3.

3. Piracy remains a major issue with things posted to e23 stolen and pirated within hours. We may ultimately have to abandon the probject because of piracy.

For what it's worth (which granted isn't really a lot), I will buy every SSD book you put up within a week of it going up, whether it's updated or not. For me, being able to print the ships I need instead of having to run to he copy shop is worth every penny.

I will also hunt down pirates and shove them out of the airlock. ;)

I already have them and seeing how I can't find anyone to play the game with, I keep them to myself. Because I took the time to put them all in there myself they are not being distributed to anyone.
I have Most all of the Modules already except for nwer ones. I sat and scanned them all into basic .pdf format per module. I need to clear some room space and found it hard to keep files so I put them all into .pdf. I keep them to myself.

I've bought both the Basic Set and R4 in e-book format, and will buy any other SSD books put up in the same format. So much more convenient...

T-2012.

Not really sure after that. The guys are doing a review of what inventory we have and rate of sale. It's not how big a given stack is, but how many months of sales that represents. Maybe C5 or maybe one of the R books or maybe something else.

An updated R2 would be nice. Would complete the basic R2-R4 reinforcement books.

Cheers

If you follow the MY DAY blog posts you know that Petrick has been steadily working his way through R2.
