A Few questions re Simulation races.

Post by Jiraiya1969 »

While perusing G3, I noticed there were a lot of Deltan (R57.0) ships that were included in the Galactic Smorgasborg module (P6) that is OOP.

Is there anyehere those extra SSDs can be obtained?

And speaking of the sim races. Also, glad to finally see a pdf of the Master rules, although I did wonder why the sim races (C4) were not included.

Thx,

Sar

The Omega empires are not included either. The MRB is a monster at 600++ pages, I can only assume that something had to be left out for the sake of brevity.

Email Leanna (sales@StarFleetGames.com) and ask her to put P6 on e23.

Module C4 is one of those I lost in the move to Germany, could someone refresh my memory about the Deltans? I remember the Qari were tanks in spaaaaace, and the Canadi'ens were the maple leaf maulers. What were the Deltans?

The Deltans were 'bombers' in space. Based more on things like the old B58 Hustler and such.

The Deltans used photons and ADDs.

Their gimmick was that they had a turn mode of 4 at all speeds. So, whether they were going speed 1 or speed 31, they had a turn mode of 4. Plus, their photons had 180 arcs, rather than 120.

There currently isn't anywhere to acquire the SSDs, except finding a copy of P6 somewhere out in the world possessed by somebody willing to part with it.

I will note that there are only 4 actual Deltan SSDs in the book; the DW, the DN, the FF, and a single "modular" SSD on p.36 for all the DW variants.

Steve has said they were working to get P6 into e23. No timetable, though.

The Deltans are in C4, not P6. I think P6 has the Hispaniolans.

The Deltans, Flivver, Brittanians, and Canadi'ens are all present in C4, but were also expanded in P6. The Hispanolas were completely new in P6.

The Hispanolians are introduced in P6, covered on pages 21-28.

The Deltans are introduced in and have their CA and CW in C4, yes. But P6 has the Deltan DW, DWM, DWS, DWD, DWG, DN, and FF -- R section stuff on page 30 and SSDs on pages 35-38.

Deltan Hustlers are awesome ships can overload 4 photons and still have the power to boot scoot and boogie! We need more Deltans and C4 races . I treat the C4 races as minor races though and not simulator in my SFU.

What really was the difference between the Hispaniolans and the Britanians? Vs. Frax? I know that the Frax ships had the fortitude whereas the others did not.

Frax are WWII ships, Hispaniolans/Britanians are age of sail.
