I missed the fact that each point of damage was a roll on the damage table. Now it makes sense and balances better. No I bneed to play another game :twisted: .

Off-topic: The widespread misunderstanding of the critical hit rules (such as Milleneza's, above) show that the critical rules really need to be rewritten for clarity.

It's certainly true that getting an overloaded photon past the shields does some serious damage, and rolling 8 dice on the table will score some nice crits.

And from the Multihit rules, "For every successful Attack Die... it will deal a number of hits equal to its Multihit score."

Yeah, that's vague. On the other hand, 8 dice on the Attack Table with Devastating +1 is still pretty rough.
