Starline 2500 minis in ADB storefront

Post by Jean »

Leanna sent me this: We have received some minis from Mongoose. Michael has quality checked them, and the good ones are now active on the cart.

We have four Squadron Box #1 Federation and eight Squadron Box #2 Klingons, plus some individual ships or sets of two ships. I have listed how many of each we have on the cart. It is first come first serve.

Will any of the not-so-good models be offered as "wrecks", or are they all being shipped back to Mongoose?

Nerroth, you would need to contact SVC and Leanna regarding that.

Gary,

I'll gladly (well... not gladly) take one of my painted minis, smash it with a hammer and sell the bits to you.
At a very reasonable price for a fully painted, one of a kind, custom-made, wreck, too.

I asked Matthew about scrap sales and he said no. He said to discard the defective ships. Which is a shame as there were a LOT of them, 80% of the shipment.

That IS a shame. They would have made a good thing to take to Origin and sell as "challenged resin starships in need of a good home". At $1 or $2 apiece I'd have been tempted to buy a few for parts or derelicts.

Maybe by the time Origins 2013 rolls around, we'll have the opportunity to buy challenged 2500 metals???

I have mentioned the idea to Matthew many times and he's just strongly not interested.

Starline 2500 ships are currently in stock at ADB: Federation Fleet Box, Klingon Fleet Box, Squadron Box #1 (Federation), and Squadron Box #2 (Klingon). These have all been quality checked. While we have limited numbers, we are supposed to get more.
