Twin Cities, MN- Regular group at Village Games

Where: Village Games in Anoka, MN (It is on the north side of the Twin Cities.)

When: Generally every Wednesday. Exact dates will be posted in this thread as they occur. If this thread hasn't been updated for a while, call the store first to see if we are still active.

What: Federation Commander. We might do another game in the SFU (most likely Armada or Call to Arms) on occasion, but we mainly focus on FC.

Training sessions: Alternating Wednesdays, 6:30pm-9:30pm.

Training Sessions are for learning the game. This is the best time for folks wanting to learn the game or are in need of a refresher to show up. The Training sessions are also for learning/practicing with the weapons and systems that will be featured the following week.

Scenario sessions: Alternating Wednesdays at 6:30pm-9:30pm (maybe later).

We mainly do official ADB scenarios. Which scenarios will be played is usually announced a week ahead of time. The person in charge of selecting the week's scenerios are in charge of providing all of the materials for the scenarios. Eveyone else only needs to bring their dice. If is helpful if you have your own copy of the rules as well. It is also traditional for the person running the scenarios to be the rules ajudicator for the night.

Side Note: We are a pretty friendly group and love to encourage new folks to get into Federation Commander. That said, when it is time to play a scenario, we are done teaching for the day. If you need to learn the game and can not make one of the Training Sessions, feel free to contact me to make other arrangements.

Next Training Session: Tuesday June 19th at 6:30. Focus on cloaking and plasma torpedoes.

Next Scenario Session: Friday June 22 at 7pm (Training at 6pm).

Scenarios: 8RB3 The Wreck of the Rex and 8RB4 Space Dragon, both from Romulan Border.

Next Scenario Session: Friday, July 6th at 7pm (Training at 6pm).

Scenarios: 8CM40 The Ophiunia Raid from Communique 52 and 8CM42 Sucker Punch from Communique 54.

Next Training Session: Tuesday, July 17th at 6:30pm. Focus on tractors, transporters and boarding combat.

Next Scenario Session: Friday, July 20 at 7pm (Training at 6pm).

Scenarios: 8BA11 Giants in the Playground from Line of Battle, 8CM42 Sucker Punch from Communique 54, 8RB4 Space Dragon from Romulan Border, and 8B103 Coming of the Meteor from Briefing #1.

A lot of "B-Side" scenarios that were originally scheduled as backup to the main scenario of the night.

Yes we are. We are taking a brief break for the rest of the summer due to vacations, Gencon, Viking pre-season, the MN State Fair, etc... But after Labor Day, we will start meeting regularly again.

We might be moving to Wednesday for the Scenario fights in order to accommodate schedules.

We are switching to Wednesdays, starting today (September 5, 2012).
Tonight we will be practicing with Romulans, plasmas and cloaking. Will announce next week's scenario tomorrow.

No session on Sept 26. It is the end of the fiscal quarter (and for some the end of the fiscal year) and almost everyone will be out of town on a business trip of some sort.

The Oct. 3 session will be a scenario session.
