Thanks guys.
In my game I may need to concede to Eric Phillips as I have not been able to make time to get our game in.

Let's go ahead with extending the deadline for this last round to July 31st.
This may also allow me to get my game in with Eric Phillips.

have to be honest here
Sorry guys. i love playing in the tourneys. but seeing as the winter tourney has only just now ended, I don't see myself joining up for the next.
Unless people have a great idea for speeding things up.
On the other hand, if I'd like to run ISC 2 CL + 1 CS just to see how the group does. IM if you want to try it. we'd have to do the ISC PPD manually, though.

As I posted in the topic regarding the next tournament, if I run another tournament, it will go back to strict one month deadlines. Everything worked well when we enforced fairly strict one month deadlines. As we became more lenient, problems began to develop in regard to keeping the tournament moving and interesting.

Preliminary Final Winter 2012 FCOL Tournament Standings
The above ties are a direct result of the number of uncompleted games that were ruled as mutual draws in the final round.
To resolve this issue, at least to be able to award a 1st place result, I propose to count all of the fourth round uncompleted games that had been declared as draws as mutual forfeits (i.e., losses) rather than mutual draws. I am not aware of a situation in any of those matches where only one of the two players was to blame for not playing their match. Everyone in that group, including myself, contributed to the failure to play their match. Three months was more than enough time to complete those matches. Failure to complete those matches was effectively no different than dropping out of the tournament after Round 3. Counting those uncompleted matches as mutual forfeits better reflects that reality. With that preface, here is what the modified final results would look like:
Modified Final Winter 2012 FCOL Tournament Standings
(All unplayed final round matches counted as mutual forfeits (i.e., losses))
So, tentatively, I am naming Lee Storey as the winner.
However, I am open to the alternative of having Lee Storey and Eric Penick (M1A1DAT) play a tie breaker match.
