none recently, but it hasn't been forgotten or abandoned. It's just not at the top of the stack yet.

Can I ask, what exactly this product is (or will be lol)?

I've heard it mentioned before, but I'm just not sure what it is!

Basicly, its the Victory By Any Means campaign system being converted to a SFU feel.

While not Steve... and not having seen the latest iteration - I can tell you what I do know from earlier drafts that i had the chance to play around with:

In a nutshell, Federaiton Admiral is a scaleable and modular campaign system for Federation Commander.

By Scaleable, i mean that:
It has (or had at one time) three different campaign scales - local, regional, and galactic.
The local level was comparable to a small sector of space, such as the area controlled by a single Starbase, or a Task Force, or even a small planetary system.
Regional was the next step up and may be thought of as the equivalent of a single Fed and Empire sector, or the area controlled by a fleet (Federation 6th fleet, Klingon Tholian Border Squadron, etc), or even an entire Lyran County.
The final level, Galactic covers everbody and everything on the F&E map... or at least a good percentage of it.

By Modular:
The game (as I last saw it) had two rulebooks. Book I (by far the smallest) had the rules required to run a Federation Admiral campaign game. Book II (much larger) has several optional rules designed to increase the detail level of your campaign. You can choose to use as many or as few as you and your opponent desire.

The campaign system also has a built-in, abstracted combat system [Federaiton Admiral Combat System - FACS] which allows one great flexibility in playing out the campaigns.
Once the turns movements are completed and each player knows what encounters have happened and which need to be resolved... you have the option to resolve them via Federaiton Commander or FACS.
If it's a hugely one-sided battle and would take longer to set-up than play, use FACS to resolve it.
If you're playing a large campaign with multiple players or have multiple battles... you can fight the non-interesting ones with FACS and use Federation Commander to fight the fun ones, the closely matched ones, and the desirable ones.

Ok, gotcha. Thanks for the replies, guys. 8) 8) 8) 8)

I had seen a few mentions about the place, but was swithering between the above answer and it being an 'Attack' expansion for FedComm with more stations and Starbases!

Minor rewriting means it will work as a campaign for SFB, FC, Starmada, or ACTASF.

I have been waiting for Fed Admiral more than any other product since Fed Comm itself.

I wait patiently.
