I have learned something new today! It just seemed logical, but darn that real life stuff getting in the way of a cool name! ;)

Not to defend them, or anything, but, really, "Cargos R Us" wouldn't be cute or mean anything if Toys R Us hadn't done it first. And they have to vigorously defend their trademark if they want to keep it.

So, regardless of what someone might think of TRU in general, they are pretty much forced to do that.

My very first job was in a bindery and processor that had been called "Tabs 'R Us". They renamed "Tab Plus", like so many other businesses that had to make the change.

Good one, David! 8)

Here's a few more ideas. :D

ERIDANUS HYDRODYNAMICS
'WE ARE A RIVER TO OUR CUSTOMERS!'
Dark blue circle with stars, winding light blue line thru the circle, logo to left of the text!

GEMINI TRANSPORTATION
'WE WORK TWICE AS HARD!'
Small white circle above small orange circle to left of text (representing the stars Castor and Pollux in the constellation Gemini)

NEUTRONIUM BULK TRANSPORTERS
'SMOOTH OPERATORS!'
I'm almost tempted to say just put a no 8 pool ball here for a logo!

TYCHO INDUSTRIES
'FLY ME TO THE MOON(S)!' (Probably can't use that slogan, eh?)
Yellow circle with white starburst where Tycho is on Moon map

Delta Vee- Logo a Delta symbol in front of a giant capital "V". Slogan moving everything from here to there. OR Connecting Point A to Point B.

I wasn't reading the R us right.

I saw "Cargo Saurus".

Must be all those darned vanity tags and texting messages rotting my mind.

Thinking on it a bit, it would be okay as a Gorn-Fed shipping partnership,

A few more, just for the fun of it...

ARIES MAIL
'NO NEUTRAL ZONE TOO WIDE'
Rams head over a stylized Neutral Zone map?

PARCEL THORCE
'WE HAMMER IT HOME'
Dark blue circle with stars, hand holding hammer with lightning bolt!

TITAN DELIVERIES
'NO PARCEL TOO BIG!

TITANIUM MAIL
"WE'RE STEELIER THAN THE REST'

Suggested by my step daughter and her husband, who aren't Trek fans!

I like "Aries Mail," but I'm wondering how to incorporate an inverted Curtis JN-4 aeroplane into the logo. Would it be possible to have a 1/8" graphic of a Free Trader or APT that my opponent would only realize was upside-down after staring at it for an hour?

From "Through the Looking Glass" I stumbled across Hatta & Haigha, the White King's messengers; one to come and one to go, one to fetch and one to carry. Can the public domain Tenniel illustrations be adapted? Probably have to remove a lot of lines.

Keep in mind, any graphics for even the larger SL2500 freighters are still barely more than an eighth of an inch high (about 1.5 to 2 centimeters). Logos and text need to be simple and bold to be legible at that tiny size. Complex things, or things with tiny detail will just turn to mud.

Honestly - it has been side-tracked by other tasks... ones that can be accomplished.
Without a freighter miniature to measure for lay-out purposes - any design work done now could end up wasted effort.

So, we're waiting until we get hands on a real Starline 2500 freighter before we tie up time working on the decals for a heretofore non-existent mini.
