Marines on ships

I want to make sure of something. If Marines are transported from one ship to another friendly ship, is that open information that all players would be told?

And another similar question. If a scenario allows a player to adjust how many Marines are on each ship before the scenario begins, is the number of Marines on each ship common knowledge for all players?

Number of Marines would have to be listed on the SSD, anything on the SSD is public knowledge ----
