Millennium; sorry, I wasn't being ignorant, I've only just seen your post.

Ark Royal actually is meant to look like that. She's a Galleon-class CVA, a design from a past Captains' Log (I think) which combines four hellbores with thirty Stingers.

I have been assured on the highest authority that any resemblance between the fighter and launch tube equipped, (at times) exiled-from-their-homeworld, rapid-firing short-ranged-weapons-using Hydrans, added to the game in 1981, and the original BSG tv series of 1979-80 is... entirely co-incidental.

So there you have it. 8)

(TBH I suspect the only person who could definitively answer that is their original creator, Andrew Robinson, and I don't know if he is available to be enquired of).

Unfortunately, I've had to move ISPs, and as a result, my old web space (and all my images) are no longer online. So all the mini examples I've posted are now broken links.

I plan to eventually upload them to a new web space, but that's liable to take me a bit. Should I delete my posts in the meantime? Or just repair them when I get the pics uploaded again?

If it is going to take you quite a while (like more than a month or two), yeah, you probably ought to delete them and then repost when you get set up again. That way it won't be lingering over you. :)

Feel free to replace one post per thread with a short note saying that you are changing ISPs and will repost when you get the chance, though, so no one things you got kicked off or anything.

Thanks Mike! If I can't get to them within a week or two, I'll delete them and post a MacArthur notice. :)

Brigman: why not upload to photobucket and then repost? This way a change in ISP shouldn't ever break your links.

This is a good spot to mention this.

New changes in Communique mean it will start including photos of the best of painted miniatures sent in by fans. (These would qualify.) So by all means, all of you, send Jean your photos and she'll pick the best of them to go into Communique.

Don't forget to mark them as for Communique! Message me and I'll give you my email address if you need it.
