Hello All,
Is my arithmetic right?
I have 2 energy left at the end of a turn and I use those two points to overload a photon.
At the beginning of the next turn during Energy Allocation I pay 2 points to hold that photon. I've paid 4 energy points.
As opposed to this...
I have 2 energy left at the end of a turn and I save it in batteries.
At the beginning of the next turn during Energy Allocation I pay 1 point to hold the Standard photon then 2 points to overload it. I've paid 3 energy points.
Is this correct?

Yes, that is correct.
And, if you have empty batteries and nothing else to put into them, that approach makes sense. However, there could potentially be many other considerations that change the equation and could make it make more sense to overload that first turn instead of waiting.
But, yes, your two options present are both correct.
