Does anyone have any good images for painted-up versions of the Starline 2500 Hawk-series ships?

Specifically, I was wondering about the SparrowHawk, FireHawk, RoyalHawk and/or FastHawk; I haven't seen too many people posting images of those so far.

Ok. Here's a total cross-post from the Mongoose forums for those who don't frequent them....

I've painted up eight more ships since the last time I posted. You can always see whatever I've posted over on my Google+ posts.

Very nice, what stands are those?

... Also, on the Mobile Base from a page or two back I noticed the SB-M83 markings on the pods. Is M83 a reference to the music group?

Those are beautiful. I really like the Lexington and Repulse.

Impressive work.

But the Gorns...greebles for the sake of greebles.

The scales just look...silly? Thrown on? Less-realistic? Pass.

The Gorn engines on the other hand, wow.

Critiquing the mini, not the paint work.

Some of the Klingon ships suffer the same issue.

DJDoods Klingon BB concept art was awesome...not sure what the actual Mongoose B-10 looks like (or is even released?) RL got in the way of FC.

The Fed ships continue to impress...anyone have the BB done yet?

The scales, etc., can be downplayed by not painting them in a highlighting color, etc. If left with just base hull color, they would be less prominent.

The B-10 mini is coming. I'm not sure when, but I would assume sometime this year. The renders looked very much like my suggestion art, so if you liked my take on it, you'll probably be pleased.

The Fed battleship just hit ADB's stock and should be on-sale today. I'll have mine on-order tonight and in-hand by next week at the latest, so I can finalize the markings set for Tenneshington Decals.

Not bad at all...tho I prefer your take more in some areas. Bridge, recessed sensor/surrounding details.

I do like the stern additions/impules engines, drone racks...might have to pick one up when I order CL46.

The E5 turned out very nice as well...so how far behind can the E7 be? Hell, you may even be able to sell "E7 parts"...basically the wings as an option.

E7 isn't in the current batch.

I did submit a suggestion drawing for it (as I needed to plan my ideas for it at the same time I did for the source E5), and it seems like a logical addition, eventually.

You could indeed kitbash one now, if you wanted to. Take the new E5. Remove the little "winglets" from the side of the rear hull. Take the wings from the new F5W and graft them on, with some putty to fill things out and add volume to the bottom of the rear hull and you'll have what I suggested.

Maybe it's a step toward 'baroquing' (from Banks' Culture books--extra hull complexity fractalized down to molecule scale that's thrown on to slow down enemy scans)

Matter of opinion of course, but I like the look of those scaled Gorns enough that I'm tempted to get some even though I don't think I'd use them for gaming (minis are too hard to stack)

I'm with pinbot... the original Gorns were bland... with Scales and some greebles put on them, I'm actually interested. I'll be buying some Gorn ships here pretty soon (I'm a Fed player, so I probably won't PLAY them... but I'm going to buy them :D)

Never painted a single ST2400 Gorn.
 I know, shocking! isn't it?
I do have over 50 of them (most acquired through trades and as part of bulk ebay acquisitions), but never developed a deisre to paint them.

Last night, I completed priming of my ST2500 Gorn Fleet Box... and placed the first bit of paint on the first mini.
Doing a BDD first, form start to finish - justto test my proposed color scheme. Photos to follow...
