Counters ePack

What about a counters e-pack for things we might need? I'm thinking specifically of Kzinti drone counters and various turn / slip markers for the races that have very few. I'm sure there are others that people might feel we are short of, and as an e-pack (rather than the expense and complexity of die cutting counters) it might be fairly painless for ADB to do.
Does anyone else have any counters they would like to see? If so, please use this thread to suggest counters that would make a good ePack of counters only.

Any counter displayed on the back cover of a ship card booster pack.

Concur. I don't cut up my Booster covers, so I'd love access to the art so I can print my own and leave my covers intact.

Multi-drone counters. Especially for Kzinti. Right now, I've only got the 1 (or 2?) from Hydran Attack. Makes it much easier than a bunch of single drone counters.

With that said, also need more single drone counters for the Kzinti. Just don't have enough and it feels wrong to borrow from the Klingons :)

For the drone counters, instead of putting one graphic on the counter with a number, would you be able to put up to 1,2,3,4,5,6 actual drones on the counters for a more visually appealing counter?

The 1 inch Kzinti DF counter

Counters for Communique ships

Monster counters so we can have a multiple of the same monster (can that include the monster ship cards, too?)

Definitely counters for communique ships and from Captains log. Different "colored" Orions for the various cartels. Additional Auxillaries for convoys.

I would purchase an updated AMMO sheet with the revised graphics... well, several of them actually.

And beyond that: Captains Log and Communique ships.

I second the updated ammo counter.

Also, more FFK counters. I only have one which is weird for a frigate.

As I started this one....

I'd like turn and slip counters for races that don't have very many (I think there are about 3 each for the Lyrans and Hydrans, so more of those would be good - other races may also be fairly thin, but I'm on TDY at the momemt and can't check my box of counters). I'd also back up the call for more Kzinti drones, as they don't have nearly enough, and multiple drone counters would also be excellent.

Turn and slip countrs are so easy for me to do. Not zero work, but pretty close.

So far, the "counter e-pack" has in it

A whole sheet of turn/slip counters
A whole sheet of civilian ships in empire colors
A whole sheet of ammo
A whole sheet of the ships that were in Captain's log and Communique.

Turning into a nice pack. Not there yet, but a solid foundation.

Depending on the kind of progress the FC Omega project can make by the time these e-countersheets are being worked up, some counters for the playtest Omega Octant empires might be useful.

(There are a few prototype e-counters in the Omega Playtest Rulebook, but they don't quite match the style used for the SFB Omega counters. Unfortunately, I don't have a means of updating the ones from the OPRB myself.)

The problem with Omega is that I don't have the kind of high resolution high detail art for them that I have for Alpha. I created all of the alpha art myself, over a period of years, before we incorporated and I found out that most of my time would go not into design but into running the company. I can barely manage to do a low-detail Omega ship or two every six months for an SFB scenario graphic for Captain's Log. Without the detailed Omega art (the kind buried in those cards you guys did) I cannot do the kind of counters players would expect.

I see.

To clarify, did the ship graphics done for some of the scenarios (or for the front and back cover art) in the SFB Omega Master Rulebook come from in-house at ADB, or were they on Bruce Graw's records (and thus lost in the crash)?

Even if those images were still on file, there may not be enough hull types done up (between those and the newer ones Rick worked up) to cover all of the playtest ships. But still, at least it would help clarify how many new images would need to be sourced at some point.

-----

EDIT: I had a quick look at the OMRB file, and found this list of relevant graphics (ones from empires and hull classes currently in playtest).

From the OMRB proper:

Maesron CA
Trobrin CA
Probr CA
FRA CR (which uses the Orion CR art)

From the art which Rick has done up (many of which are posted here):

Maesron FF
Trobrin FF (which could be used to cover the FFL, if necessary)
Iridani GL
Iridani CR
FRA CLA
FRA CL
FRA FF
FRA Shuttle

And there are a couple of files I edited myself, based on Rick's work, which I have on file:

FRA BC
Iridani CP

Of the playtest ships currently available, the only ships not on that list that would need new art done for them would be the Maesron DD and Probr DD.

Of those two, the Probr wouldn't need much work if the CA file is available; the wings would be smaller, and it would have only one of the two central hulls shown for the CA. (Actually, if we ever get the Probr CL done for SFB, it would keep the same wings as the CA, and only need the one DD centre hull.)

The Maesron might need a bit more work, but it shares certain design elements (most notably the aft firing platform) with the CA.

EDIT 2: I just had a go at adjusting the Probr art from the back cover of the OMRB to create the DD. If the result is workable (and I'm not saying it is just yet), that would leave the Maesron destroyer as the last ship missing from the current crop of playtest Omega ships.

Unless any new ships get added for which no art yet exists, that is...

The scenario graphics are just countersheet silhouettes (turned from black to grey) which have no detail. They aren't usable for high level counters, and Bruce never did anything better.
