Recently, I was commissioned to create a couple of Starline 2500 DDs.
Well, a DD and a DDL to be specific.
I shipped the finished minis off yesterday.
The DDL was created by cutting down and modifying a resin Federation CC mini.
The DD was created by cutting down a resin Federation BC mini.
I took no "in progess" photos of these minis, but am preparing to do another half dozen or so for myself.
I will take in-progres photos and create a step-by-step guide for any of those interested in the process.
Now, on to the pictures:

I may have asked this before, but have you considered doing your own conversion of the Two Moons-class fast destroyer while you're at it; or would you rather not chop up the CF parts you have on hand in order to make up the DDF?Scoutdad wrote:I took no "in progess" photos of these minis, but am preparing to do another half dozen or so for myself.

I haven't made one yet, but I do have a complete set of USS Two Moons decals in ST2500 scale printed up... so its just a matter of time.
I haven't wanted to butcher one of my three CFs, but eventually I'll get a good deal on one (or get one as part of a package) and will make a Two Moons out of it.
So... if anyone has a Federation CF they done want...

nice one my friend.
Got around to making another DDL for myself tonight:
I started with a Federation Command Cruiser miniature..
But since I had an extra "upper" nacelle from a Fed dreadnought - I decided to use that:

Then I decided to make the miniature visually distinctive on the tabletop...
So I changed horses mid-stream and went with the neck off of a Federation BCH - including the gun-house.

In this image, you can see the locating holes in the saucer and nacelle, as well as the corresponding mounting pins in the neck.

Gary: I have so many federation minis to paint right now... I'm not sure I wont just airbrush them concrete grey and call them done.Nerroth wrote:The Two Moons looks nice!
Are you gonna give it the same blue nacelle hubcap as shown in Adam's art?
But if I do ever get around to detailing them, the DDF will have the blue nacelle domes ust like all of my 2400 series "fast" Feds.
