Anyone used the Star Trek Cadet TOS models in their game?

I was wondering if anyone has used the AMT Cadet Series TOS models in their game.

It says they are 1/2500 scale. Is that the same scale as the Starline 2500 series?

No. Starline 2500 minis are 1:3125 scale (and Starline 2400 are 1/3788 scale).

I've toyed with the idea of using the 1/2500 scale model kits, as "macrotures". It would take the floor of a good sized room to play, but it would be fun.

The only place I ever seen this done was at Plattcon one year like 2 decades ago. The lobby had a 4 or 6 inch hexagonal pattern floor tile. A quick run to the hobby store snap them together and pow! Commence awsomeness.

If you like 1/2500 scale, there are a zillion and one options out there.

That scale was defined w-a-y back in the late 1980s by AMT, when they did the original 3-Enterprise set (TOS 1701, 1701-A, 1701-D). They later expanded it with another 3-ship set (1701-B, 1701-C, and 1701-E) in the same scale and the DS9 station model is close enough that most folks just lump it in. All those are now back in production, under Polar Lights' brand (along with the new Defiant model they bundle with the DS9).

That's just the "official" models. There is a thriving cast-resin "garage kit" industry out there. You name the Trek ship, it's probably been done in 1/2500, 1/4400, or both.

We have used them with ACTA and they are closer in size than I thought they would be. Just the K'tinga, Constitution and Constitutiin Refit though.

It may send you to collectibles stores, but when Johnny Lightning (not Hot Wheels) had the license, they put out a series of assembled and painted ships. The Heavy Cruiser is dead on 1/2500 -both the classic and the movie version. The D-7 is a bit bigger, 1/2300th, as were Hollywood's idea of an "early years cruiser" and "new light cruiser." The latter is only where it is really noticeable, as you can directly compare the warp engines and the saucer (well, the front half). Alas, the Romulan War Eagle is about the scale size of a Vulture or aft hull of a Condor. There are a few variants made; CAs painted with different names and numbers, the D-7 in Romulan colors and even clear/cloaked, some ships with damage applied, all the way up to the front of the saucer gone like in that movie where they blew up the ship.

I've seen pics from gaming conventions and playing with the large ships just looks like a blast!
