Well, with the addition of new blood to our group... we're getting back into the monthly (minimum), all day Fed Comm sessions at Casa de'Tomas.

In October, it was the first annual BGM Federation Commander Tournament.
We had 12 players there for over 9 hours of action packed starship combat (and three of them were there until about 2:00 a.m!)

The next big session is scheduled for Saturday Nov 30th.
We'll start at 10:00 a.m. and continue until everyone has had enough!!!
The first order of the day, will be:

Frigate Demo Derby!
56 map panels (large hexes) placed in the table in a 3 x 18 grid.
Every player starts off in a frigate of their choice.
Then its everyman for himself.
The first internal scored on a ship nets the scorer 1 point.
The first person to cripple a frigate scores 3 points.
The player who destroys a frigate scores 6 points.

Once your frigate is destroyed, you but a new one for 4 points.
The only requirement is you cant play the same empire back-to-back.

The plan is to run for a set time limit (decided by majority vote before the game starts) and then declare the player with the most points the winner!

After that, we'll break into smaller groups and play battles, duels, or scenarios as the individual groups decide.

This is an open invitation to anyone within driving distance who's interested in playing.
Newcomers are welcome. Rules will be taught. All materials needed to play are already on hand!
Drop me a PM for more details.

Bummer I am too far away. I'm not a FedCom fan, but I'd love to watch such an epic game. :D

I'll be up in Chattanooga that weekend visiting family and such, but I'll be introducing my friends to ACTA SF that day.

Steve: Where are you normally located?

We also are one of the primary playtest groups for ACTASF, so we play a lot of that as well.

Unfortunately, I am normally in Athens, GA, where there is no gaming going on (other than RPGs), AFAIK.

There is a guy who plays ACTA:SF over in Alpharetta Georgia, and he has a sizeable gaming group. Looks to be about an hour and a half drive, long range perhaps, but worth looking into? :)

I routinely drive nearly that far to do gaming these days as well (1:15 or so).
