Any FC or SFB players in the KC area? I'm in Topeka, KS but would be willing to travel or host...

Greetings all!
I have been establishing FC as a prime game at TableTop Game & Hobby, Overland Park Kansas. We have about a dozen casual players, and at least one very experienced previous SFB player (heck, he wrote the Vudar race). Games are usually held on Friday afternoon or evenings, though it is starting to gain a foothold on other days. Miniatures are popular as we all love to paint.
Come out and join us if you get a chance.

I can't get enough of this game, seriously!

To follow up on this there is a regular FC-based SFU campaign in the KC area based at TableTop. We also host games at the various Cons and sometimes take the show on the road.
We have about 40 players at varying levels of activity (some from as far away as Omaha) with games throughout the week but very regularly on Friday evenings and Saturday.
If anyone is interested send me a PM me your contact info and I'll connect you to the guy running things.

We are going to be setting up some Fed Com games at The Basement Games in Kansas City North. Will post more info on time and date when I have it.

We're still doing our campaign at TableTop. Going strong for over two years now! We have many people playing everything from Feds and Klingons to Tholians, ISC and Andros.
We'll be running games this Friday and Saturday at the Recruits convention in Lee's Summit if anyone is interested.
We also still meet every Friday night at TableTop and anyone is welcome!

Wow. That is lot of FC activity on the western side of the state (Missouri). Nothing close to that happening on the east side of the state.

Scoutdad has a great group. Four of us from St.Louis had a nice visit down there a couple of years ago. We had something like eight two-player FC games going at once in Scoutdad's game room.

We've topped that once, since then.JimDauphinais wrote:Scoutdad has a great group. Four of us from St.Louis had a nice visit down there a couple of years ago. We had something like eight two-player FC games going at once in Scoutdad's game room.
2x games of Fed Comm (6 players), 1 game of SFB (3 players), 2x games of ACTASF (10 players), and one game of X-Wing (2 players)... 21 players simultaneously.
And the table was full... the desk was full.. and the landing at the top of the steps was home to the X-wing game.

Getting in as many games as I can vs many players and solo games. Doing this since I am a SR and will be running some upcoming demo games at The Basement Games. Josh is one of the store owners and he is really into getting a league going.
So, my plan is to have plenty of the common vessels in the 2400 range for FC games and the same of 2500 range for ACTA games. Also have a copy of F&E and a copy of Star Fleet Marines. This way we can rotate the different demos and give a wide range of games for the league all within one store.
Again, details will be forth coming and will be posting soon.

Huh... just moved away from Olathe, myself. I hope to be able to move back in a couple of years, though.krako wrote:Resurrecting this thread to see if there are any players in the KC area, as I recently moved to Olathe...
As has been mentioned up thread, Tabletop in Overland Park is a pretty good place to play. I don't know what the current schedule is, but I do know that SFB/FC is one of the owner's favorite games. Last time I was in there, a few months ago, he still had SFB/FC material in stock, too.
Good Luck!
