Just saw the January Communique and am looking forward to playing the scenario with the specialty drone ship.
Also noticed the pic of the Fed police cruiser, the Emitter Flash. It has a "54" on it. Hidden meaning for "Car 54"???

Ghost Outrider
Love the cowboy song, Ghost Riders in the Sky! [especially as sung by the Sons of the Pioneers in their Cool Water album]
Looking forward to trying the new scenario!

Is the tiny planet in (8CM139) a large asteroid or a moon?
Is the tiny planet in (8CM139) RAID ON A LONELY PLANET in Communique 152 a large asteroid or a moon?
The intro/background section says it is a "tiny" planet without an atmosphere, but nothing else is mentioned about its size, especially in the initial set-up section. Whether it is a large asteroid or a moon should be stated in the Initial Set-Up section (8CM139b).
The version 6 rules give two possibilities for a tiny planet: either a large asteroid or a moon. These have different effects on weapons and movement. See 6B 1st paragraph and 6B4 intro.

Communique #168 scenario
Scenario: 8CM154 - A Lonely Christmas
Re: Time Limit: Eight turns. At this point, if the issue remains in
doubt, other forces will arrive and that commander will claim the
victory.
Question: Which commander is this referring to? I'm thinking it's probably the Alliance commander, but it's not stated clearly.

Re: Communique #168 scenario
It is the commander of the arriving force. In other words, if an otherwise winning player exceeds the time limit, they lose irrespective of any other victory conditions because the commander of the arriving force takes all of the credit.Mike wrote:Question: Which commander is this referring to? I don't want to nitpick, but if the Klingon player doesn't achieve any of the three levels of victory conditions by the end of turn 8, the scenario says the Alliance player wins by default.
The way I read your answer, the Klingon player has the arriving force after turn 8.
