Did any of these ever get updated to the new system? There is very little on this game out there at the moment (I have had 3 kids since it launched so I have been a tad busy). Scoutdad & SVC, your rules changes are pretty awesome. Drones are no longer the uber weapon that made Klingons OP, and plasma now gives those empires a fighting chance.
I would minorly argue only one point and that is "all hands on deck!" Seems like it should not cause power drain as it is basically a heightened readiness level of the crew.
I have been pouring over the old book and comparing the changes and I think you have a homerun. My son is turning 5 in September so we will be getting out the old FC Counters and giving this game a basic shot.

Not all of the pre-1.2 CL ships made it into Book 2.
Some are better suited for Book 3 (trust me, they will all show up in 1.2)
The current count of ships for Book 2 is just over 150...
I don't know if they will all make the final version or not (if not, it will be due to space limitations only), but any that do not make Book 2 will be first on the list for Book 3.
Book 3 BTW looks to have 120+ ships without scraping the bottom of the barrel.

I can see your point on the power drain, but the goal was to simplify things and making every Special Action require a power drain was the easiest way to accomplish that.Savedfromwhat wrote: I would minorly argue only one point and that is "all hands on deck!" Hey Tony,
Thanks for the reply(s). I am happily anticipating book 2. I think I was just nitpicking "ALL HAND ON DECK!" simply because the engineers will probably have to do some power diversion for repairs (I actually like when rules are abstracted to this level, it leaves a lot of room for imagination). Thanks for all the hard work on this product.

We figured it the other way.
While the engineers are probably using 'some' power for repairs; we figured a lot of the damage control would involve rerouting power conduits.
So some of those would be 'shut-down' to allow splicing or re-routing, so note all of the power generated would be able to get to its final destination.
Either way - you end up with a power drain.

Sounds like a lot of ships! I counted the ships in book 1.2, only around 85? 80? Can't wait to see ACTA books 2 and 3.Scoutdad wrote:Not all of the pre-1.2 CL ships made it into Book 2.
