Forgive me if this totally obvious and I am just missing somethig...
For the Klingon D6 Heavy Cruiser SSD has two Drone Racks (Y & Z) and underneath it - it has two boxes of 16 blocks each with numbers 1-4 on one and 5-8 on the other.
Am I to assume that each Drone Rack can fire up to 4 drones a turn and that there are a total of 16 drones per rack?
I have read and reread the rules in the FC Klingon Border book and I just don't see it spelled out.
As I said I am probably overthinking the obvious...
Thanks!

No.
The two boxes are just there for convenience and in now way indicate the properties of the drone racks. They are simply rows of damage check-off boxes for up to eight separate drones. That is all they are.
A drone rack may only fire a maximum of a single drone in a given turn. That is true of all drone racks in Federation Commander.
The drone rack ammo box shows how many drones that drone rack can contain. On the D6, that is four drones per rack. Once you fire four drones, the rack is empty, and it will take four turns to fire all of the drones.
(I can go back and look up the rules for specific references, if you need.)
