ADB's Federation Commander - Help Understanding The Product
I recently came across a classic Star Trek starship combat boardgame called Federation Commander. I did some research and I was hoping that owners of this game system could help me out by answering some questions. I understand that the game system offers both a Squadron scale and a Fleet scale choice. Does this mean that Klingon Border, and all the other FC expansion sets, come with both the half inch and one inch starship counters plus maps that can be used with both scales? In essence you are getting two games in one? Are all the maps mounted on hard cardboard instead of being just paper? Thank you in advance for helping me.

I don't know I would call it a classic as it's current production and not that old, but anyway...
The two scales are litterally half as many or twice as many boxes per ship, smaller ships fewer boxes quicker game play as there is less to do and less to kill.
The two sizes of counters can each/either be used for either scale and aren't really linked. You can use small counters small hexes squadrons scale if you want.
The maps are 8.5x11 heavy cardboard printed big hexes one side small hexes the other side.
