15mm Star Fleet Universe Miniatures?

Post by MrBlipvert »

I believe this has come up in the past but 15mm has long been a popular scale for SF (Science Fiction ;) ) RPGs and SF miniature battles. Is there any chance that good people at ADB would consider a range?

I'd love to see 15mm Federation, Klingons, Romulans, Gorns, Tholians, etc. ... but it would also be great to see 15mm civilians!
Cheers,

Argh. I just saw the stickied "What New Minis Do You Want?" thread. Apologies.

(I do kinda feel as though the 15mm minis are important to warrant their on thread. But I also appreciate that others might not feel the same way. Apologies, Mods.)
Cheers,

I don't oppose it, but there are a lot of projects on the schedule now, and each one takes a definable chunk of time. There are no time chunks unused right now.

Entirely understandable.

Might I ask what happened to malleman, his 15mm miniatures, and the Battlestations: Prime Directive project? (Were the three linked? I had assumed they were. )

I don't recall who Mallerman was (if I ever knew), and don't recall anything about a 15mm project (beyond numerous people discussing various ideas to do people minis in various scales.

As for the Battlestations thing, we tried to make a deal with them but they went off doing things that were not authorized and we got tired of arguing with them. We had a "handshake deal to later negotiate a deal" and rather than negotiating they just starting ordering art without consulting us about the legal requirements. When we pointed out that the art could not be used due to licensing issues (that they never asked us about) they demanded that we pay for the art anyway. We pointed out that they should have negotiated and signed a deal before they started spending money, and should have asked us for the licensing restrictions before they started commissioning art, points they could not seem to grasp. What happened was that they showed up at a trade show with a stack of art we never knew they had ordered. I literally began to cry in front of them and others because they had wasted time and money doing things that could not be used when they could have avoided the problem so easily. There were other issues, but that starship has sailed so there isn't much point in discussing them.
