With Gun boat Attack out are Skiff getting retconed?

Now that we have an official rules section for Gun boats and Skiff sorta use Gunboat/Intercepted rules. Are Skiff falling into this catagory. Will they now have the same Weapon Range and Marine Restrictions?

Seeker and Security were in Comm 78, Smasher was in 134.

While speaking of Skirts could we get a Civilianized Smasher Skiff. Yes I know its just a target so maybe not worth the time. The other one is Modular Cutters but really probably not worth the time.

While the toothpaste may already be out of the tube, I'd definitely prefer if we treated Skiffs and Couriers as gunboats whenever they are officially released.

That's just a recommendation on my part. The real decision is purely Steve's.
