What are the requirements for obtaining a commercial license in Dubai? Does anyone know?

Hey, so I’m currently trying to set up a small business in Dubai, basically a shop focused on board games and collectible miniatures (yeah, Federation Commander is definitely part of the plan). But honestly I’m kinda stuck in the admin side of things. The whole licensing system there feels like a maze... free zones vs mainland setups, different rules depending on activity, and everything seems to change depending on who you ask. I thought I could get started with around 15,000 AED, but after reading stuff online the numbers and requirements are all over the place. I even checked this guide on Dubai trade license requirements and it just added more questions tbh. Has anyone here actually gone through the process recently or knows someone who did? Also curious about how long it really takes, because I’d love to be open before year end. Any advice would be really appreciated, thanks!
