A few SFB ship stat questions

I would imagine that it would rely, at least in part, on the rules used for naming ships of that particular class. The larger Federation carriers are all invariably named after prominent wartime commanders from Earth history, so keeping the name Farragut makes sense (the unusual name is actually the CA, as people aren't generally used as names for that class).OGOPTIMUS wrote:Does anyone know what the policy is about renaming ships if they were converted? The official registry has some ships being renamed (the CL California became the ECL Patton, among others), while others are not (the CA Farragut became the CVS Farragut).
Presumeably there was something similar involved in the name change for the California. US states are a frequent name for the old Light Cruiser-class ships, but to the best of my knowledge never turn up as escorts.
