It's nice to see some of the less well-known ship classes finally getting their moment in the spotlight.

I love the shield effect where the weapons fire hits it too...

one little quibble; however, maybe it's just the angle - but somethings seems off on the Federation Frigate in the lower right. Either the engines are frakkin' huge or the saucer is really tiny

Maybe that's one of the "Solidarity" ships being crewed entirely by an allied race and this one was designed and built for Hydrans!

Nice! I love it!

I love even more what it implies about what's in CL37.

Woo! Attack of the frigates!

(At least, I assume that's a pair of Sea Hawks....)

I'm not sure I really like the mottled hull-plate look on the Fed FF myself, but it's not as if I'm really going to notice it while looking at the picture....

The Fed FFs engines do look a lot bigger, and they're mounted further back from the saucer making them look different from other pics of the FF and the mini I have.

Hmm.... Maybe, perhaps, we're looking at the Federation FFX for the very first time? X1R is around the corner......
I'm wise enough to know that I don't know half as much as I think I know, you know?

Another interesting thing, The Romulan Warp engines. I remember seeing pictures of the old Warbird having blue tipped engines to denote the huge impulse engines the had and it's now used for the Fast ships. Maybe theses are fast versions of the snipes or even more X-ships.

So tonight we played "Magnificient Panzers" with 5 folks. We used the alternate Sparrowhawk (1 S and 1 F torp) and had the two more senior players running the Frigates.

It was a slaughter.

Both Frigates blew up in the third turn. The first went down to a double Trop (1 S and 1 F) and then the other was whittled away by LOTS of phasers.

Nice picture - fun (if bloody) game.

You do realize, of course, that the alternative fleet scale Sparrowhawk has 1 G and 1 F torp. It doesn't have an S torp at all.

Yes, I was quoting from memory - I didn't have the ship card in front of me.
It was an F and G at range 2.

Got my copy of that yesterday. I love the picture on the front, with the scenarios, and all around the magazine. Thank you AdamTurner for making my Late birthday present enjoyable!
