Movement Priority
Ok, movement priority, i.e. what order ships are supposed to be moved in during the movement portions of an impulse, are dictated first by speed and then, if the ships have the same speed, by turn mode. THis means that if say my D6 were going up against a Fed Heavy Cruiser. If my D6 were moving at speed 24 and if the Fed were moving 16 then the Fed would move his ship, assuming we were on a sub-impulse where we both had to move, and then I'd move my ship. Now, what happens if the Fed accelerates to 16+1? Is 16+1 still considered 16 thus meaning that he would move first, or would it go to turn mode to see who moves first?

The baseline speed of the Federation ship is still 16 since that is set at the beginning of the turn and remains until the next energy allocation phase (except if emergency deceleration is declared, I believe). So even when a ship goes 16+1, it is slower than a ship that goes 24 (and even if it decelerates).
