Fed OCL photon location?

Post by OGOPTIMUS »

Where are the photons on the Fed old light cruiser?

Most of the SSD graphics show them in the main part of the hull on the left and right side of the FX phasers, but those two side "tusk" parts, almost scream to be the launchers.

Any thoughts?

Traditionally they have been in the "tusks" (I remember reading some fluff that said the old photon tubes were bigger than the current ones).

The ship card graphics are always adjusted for "looks good as an array of boxes" - the arc callouts on the weapon aren't affected, so SVC makes them look pretty.

All of my "Texas class" light cruiser miniatures have the ends of the tusks painted to represent the photon tubes... just because it seemed natural for them to be there.

Thanks guys. I guess I messed up the other two I've done, but I can hand-wave and say they're just special variants (maybe). And the next few will be correct.
