Well, yeah, I mentioned we couldn't read it... I kinda thought that was a hint we needed his reader, not a hint that he could have it for free.
How much extra for that, or was it included in the 5k?
I'm beginning to suspect Capt. Jack of some honest dealings here... Sheesh, it's like he's trying to be truthful with the Klingons or something...

Yeah, Captain Jack saw THAT Hildarian before the rest of you met up with Tarsh...
Hildarians are kinda rare, even though they are a klink subject race...
I think it's related, at least...

and then...It's another typical evening in the trade district Donjebruche. The harsh light of Afrikanus starts to take on an milder orange tint as it hangs low in the sky. A free trader lazily descends to the nearby starport. Ships in standard orbit can be seen as fast moving points of light.
Several streets away a muffled explosion can be heard. There are cries of confusion as moments later an emergency shuttle barrels overhead insanely close to the ground.
Two blocks away from the Grey Banshee, five Mynieni can be seen being ushered into a side alley by a grinning Hilidarian. This is a relatively outlandish sight even for the bustling cosmopolitan reputation of Donjebruche. The Mynieni have dark stylized goggles that make them look surprisingly intimating for their small stature and weak cillia.
It's reasonable to expect the Hilidarian saw me with Tarsh. That or he was part of the group that killed Tarsh or X'al Fen.......
* You may choose to investigate the five Mynieni that have entered the alley with the Hilidarian.
* You may also choose to go ahead to the Grey Banshee and check things out there.
* You may wait for another PC to show up before doing either, but if you do that, you will probably miss the chance to investigate the Mynieni.
...
I think it's related, at least...

I suggest that Skexis be culturally Federation. He has been thoroughly assimilated into Federation culture after several generations. He is not romantic about his "heritage" and is maybe not even sure if he's descended from Kzinti or Lyran stock....
Okay, you are all agreed not to mess with Guido.
(sigh)
So go do something! Anything! I'll roll some dice and we'll see what happens.
There *is* a puzzle here.... It may be obvious to somebody and they're not saying anything because they want to role-play or something like that.
So far, puzzles seem to kill whatever tempo we achieve in a play-by-forum game, so my heart's not exactly set on you guys figuring it out. But it would be cool if you did. Eliminating puzzles entirely would seem to be a bad thing, in my opinion.
