Hellbore Vs. Drones

In the Distant Kingdoms rule book I noticed some thing about the Chart 4K4 hellbore combat table the last two colums are : Damage to Drones/Shuttles and overload vs drones/Shuttles. My question is the "s" at the end of the word drone a plural meaning or possesive? Can a hellbore fire at more than one drone in a stack or not? I don't think so, but as a Kzinti going up against a hellbore fleet I need to know so I don't step on my tail

They can only fire at one drone or shuttle. The "s" is just proper grammar for the abbreviated sentence...If the full sentence was shown it would be "The hellbore causes this much damage when used against drones and shuttles."
It's not proper grammar to say "The hellbore causes this much damage when used against drone and shuttle."

That is correct. You can only fire a given weapon at a single target.

THanks,
That is what I thought and what I was hoping just wanted to be doubly sure.

Great Question, my esteemed opponent.

You mean the federation player is palying the hydrans
I never thought they were allied to that degree.

The Federation and Hydrans were allies, but they weren't best buds like the feds and the gorn because the hydran and the feds don't share a border. But they're beign united by a common palyer

Try playing Federation and Empire sometime. The usual way to play is for one player to play the Hydrans... then when they are driven off map just as the Federation enters the war - the same player plays both the Feds and the Hydrans.
Same with the Kzinti / Gorn. One player starts as the Kzinti and then plays the Gorn when they enter the war.

Is F and E a stand Alone game?

no a different player commands the federation. the federtaion, tse, klingons, lyrans, gorns and orions are all commanded by 'human' players the rest of the races are NPC's and controlled by the game master..... and really i should have kep any references to the federtaion campaign on the federation campaign thread....

But there were so many good matches in that campaign, and a lot of them involed the Federation.

yes I agree, the campaign is not done and the matches that happened are still relevant. the campaign continues.
I think I will post the current races, alliances...ect on the main fed campaign thread.
thanks!!

Yes,
Federation and Empire is the strategic game of the Star Fleet Universe.

I know, but it looks like it might need another product to resolve battles.
Thanks
