Tholians

Just a query as to what base colour people use for the Tholians? The official painting guide states copper, but I don't think I want them metallic.

I do use Copper for a base color. I found a nice, metallic copper in an Aerosol can and a very, very close match with bruch on color for touch up.
Between the copper base, the gold warp radiators, and some silver trim... they look pretty good in metallics.

See the links in the signature.

Although, I have seen a fleet that was based in black, with gold and silver trim that also looked good.

You could try this color scheme:

I did a test ship using that scheme and it didn't look half bad. Not as much "bling" going on...

Thanks for the links and the examples. Border Box 5 will be with me tomorrow.

I may go for a copper scheme, but will try and make it somewhat muted, otherwise there's a danger their rides may end up looking pimped :D
