Can Anyone post pics of their Fed NCL's
Hey guys could anyone do me a favor and post some pics of their completed fed NCL's? I am trying to figure out how to remove the pewter build up near the engine caps and saucer. Any tips and pics (top down please) would be a great help.
Here's a pic of the first NCL I finished.
As you can see from the photo, I removed what I could and attempted to paint out hte rest of it. Didn't do such a good job on this one, but we needed it soon for a game.
The rest of them were done a bit more carefully and painted a bit better...

I'd never use a Dremel on something that exposed (way too easy to over-do it). To get rid of that flash on mine, I usually snip away what I can with "sprue-snippers" (for cutting plastic model kit parts off the "trees"; all they really are is small wire-cutters). then I get in there with a small chisel-blade Xacto knife to scrape away the rest of the bulk, and finally use needle files to file away the remainder. Most of the work is done with the files, to prevent any over-cutting.

There's a few NCL/NCA pics here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/34470879@N03/
I use an x-acto knife but it's a pain to clean them.
That's why I picked up 3 of the old lead NCL on eBay.

It's nice to have a variety of the old/new ships. At the very least it makes them easier to tell apart during a game. I do like the old style Gorn ships better than the new ones.
One thing I don't miss: the old Klingon D5/D7/B10/Tug miniatures. I much prefer the 1 piece castings of those. Having a warp engine failure during a game is never fun.
