Communique Request - Ground Structures for FC

Post by Sllarr »

Dear SVC.
July is my birthday month :-)

Any chance we can see some rules and stats for ground structures in FC ? Maybe as part of BoM ?

My regular opponents and I enjoy the use of terrain in duels and scenarios and the ability to mount defenses in asteroids and planets would be a very welcome addition.

ok it is a nit pick but Sllarr that request was seconded way back in March why did you drop down here to give that reshout out instead of using the topic above. =p But I agree they would be nice to have sometime.

Actually in that topic I was asking about terrain (Pulsars and Black Holes), Minefields and Ground Structures. ADB granted the terrain request, publishing rules in a communique and the updated rulebook. The answer to the minefield was a "no" for the moment. Never got an official answer on the ground structures. I decided to open a new topic to keep the focus in this specific request.

I can see a new product with ground structures: Marines Attack!

It could be BoM.

I don't really see a need for such a product to be BoM. We are working up such things for Briefing #3 (the manual of stuff that VBAM=FA needs).

More likely something on the order of "Briefing #3: Fleet Support".

This FA stuff just keeps sounding better and better!

Hopefully I'm not setting myself up for The Big Letdown

That is why I put together that "First Campaigns" material :) . I really like what ADB did with "First Missions" myself!

Briefing three, idea so pretty.
Makes me giddy, by no means a pity.
A worth cause I look for my money.
When being finacial I hope I'm no dummy.
But when I see it costs only twenty,
And the fun I'll have with it is plenty,
It's surely a worthy cause.
And on the Day the package arrives.
We'll cheer and clap and trade high fives.
But I'll have to hold off on buying a snack,
For it's time to start saving for Hydran Attack.
