Inexpensive Mini Box/Case

Post by wedge_hammersteel »

I wanted to show off my inexpensive mini box/case. I made up one for each race.

Find a box about 10 inches x 12 inches x 2.5 to 3 inches. The boxes that Ms. Leanna mails the rules booklets in with the flip top lid are ideal.

Buy a piece of 1 inch thick foam padding from the hobby store. Cut it to fit the bottom of the box. Arrange your minis in the box so they fit nicely. Use a felt tip pen to mark the positions of the stands. Use an x-acto knife to cut holes for the stands. Once all the holes are cut, you can glue the foam to the bottom of the box and then insert your minis.

Cool!

Nice to see fabrication ingenuity. Makes for a good easy hobby project.

Grabbed an empty IMB Selectric Ribbon box back in the 80s and did approx the same thing for my Battletech Mechs ---

Took and old Cassette box (double sided) and placed in some foam and cut out forms for Wings of War minis --

You can do it for just about any type minis, just take a little work --
Just be careful if your using a razor/exacto to work with --
