Drone Endurance

Post by Blammo »

To make sure I have it right, the rules state the following:
(4G6) RANGE LIMIT
Unless it strikes its target, a drone will run out of fuel and be removed from the map at the end of the third turn after launch. At the end of each turn, make a small mark by the damage record track for every drone on the map. If a given drone already has three marks and has yet to strike its target, remove the drone from the game. Erase the damage track to make it available for use with another drone.
So, with that in mind, if I launch a drone on Impulse #2 of Turn 1 and my opponent launches a drone on Impulse #7 of Turn 1, will both run out of fuel and go inert at the end of turn #4?

In all the games I have been involved with so far the drones have either hit or been killed within 16 impulses so it has not been an issue, but I would like to be sure I understand the rule in case it does come into play.[/quote]

Yes, that is correct.
