"All That Was Old is New Again" from Reinforcements Attack, D7H HMS Anarchist with an NEC have to leave a map, opposed by assorted Klingon vessels.

The map is specified as 'floating'.

How do the Hydran ships 'leave' it?

I would assume, get far enough away from the nearest Klingon that they can't both be on the map at the same time.

Ref rule 2E1b. If you're 35 hexes away from the nearest enemy ship, you can declare yourself disengaged.

The scenario should have stated the condition as something like disengagement by separation instead of leave the map.
