Battle in the 'Boro III - July 18th, 2015

Post by Scoutdad »

We are holding the third annual Battle in the 'Boro on Saturday July 18th at the Casa de'Tomas game room in Murfreesboro, TN.

We already have 12 confirmed participants and expect another 10 to 12 before all is said and done.

The festivities kick off at 11 a.m. and will go until everyone is too tired to continue.
Unlike the two previous ones (which were Origins style tournaments), this one will be a series of smaller 2 to 4 player games... some duels, some scenarios, some play test stuff, and of course, the obligatory Fed Comm Frigate Demo Derby for the newcomers you want to learn the rules in a quick and dirty, shoot 'em up game.

Anyone in the middle TN area is invited to join us.
PM me for more details or the location.

Tony, it looks like the stars and planets have aligned and I should actually be able to make it this time! Hopefully I'll be seeing you next week <fingers crossed>

First off, let me say.. "BUMMER!"

We had to cancel this event due to an unforeseen medical emergency.
Of course, if it had been foreseen, it probably wouldn't have been such an emergency either. :?

But our misfortune could be your good fortune.
We are in the process of rescheduling the event now.
We are looking at either August 15, 22, or 29.

An email has been sent to al local players (There are 40! of them!!!) asking which date works best for each of them. Once we know who's available when - we'll reschedule it for the date with the greatest availability.

And I'll post that date here - just in case anyone is passing though middle TN on that weekend (or feels like a road trip) and wants to get in 12 or so hours of Federation Commander in a single day.

An since we're looking to reschedule, I'm making the same offer here. If (and only if) you ARE planning to join us, post your choice of dates (ranked from 1 to 3 if available more than one of the days listed) here nad I'll take that into consideration for the final date.

As a brief update...
August 22nd has taken an early lead for the proposed date.

In fact, al but one respondent to date has 100% availability on 8/22 and the remaining one is 50:50 for that day.
