Romulan Heavy hawks

Post by OGOPTIMUS »

So, I have a few Romulan Sparrow/Fire/Nova/Royal Hawk minis now, and I'm confused as to the engines that go on top of the mini. I know the single is for the Sparrowhawk, but the engines I have for the top have an extra box mounted on top of them, rather than the separate two that are pictured on the shopping cart for th Firehawk. Is this meant to be the Royalhawk engine, symbolizing an extra torpedo? Or am I way off here, and it's just some extra flashing that I should trim?

Wait for someone else to confirm before you do any gluing (I'm not a Romulan expert; at least not from memory), but yes I think you have it correct (the one with the engines joined together is for the Royalhawk).

Ogoptimus,
The large 'box' is the RoyalHawk. I believe it is to represent the R-type torpedo, as opposed to the pair of S-types on the FireHawk.
One of the guys that sculpts the minis (Starline 2400) :-)

Everyone is correct:
The Sparrowhawk gets a single upper engine.
The Firehawk gets two separate upper engines, each with a Type-S Plasma Torpedo.
The Royalhawk gets the combined upper engines with a single, Type-R Plasma Torpedo in the box-like structure joining the engines.
