In the EM rules there is a line stating to treat adjusted dice rolls > 6 as 6. In the section on dice roll modifiers, it says rolls above 6 shift columns for things like phasers, fusions, etc. Does this apply to EM too? I mean, I guess it's still a 6, just on another column.
Also, if the modified result caps at a 6, does this mean that die roll modifiers do not matter at all against a weapon that hits on 1-6 (usually some range 0 shots)? |

I don't see such a line in the EM rules. For reference, here is what I see:

As such, it is just another source of (4A4) direct-fire die roll modifiers.
So, it looks like you have a slightly older version of the rules and that rule was updated. _________________
