Are drones fired from fighters controlled by them as the "Launching units"?
or
Do the drones count against the unit that launched the drones (usually 6 or 12)

Drones launched by fighters are controlled by the fighters. They may control any drones they launch, so if they have two on the board, they can control both. This means two things:
1) They must remain within range of the drones to maintain control.
2) If the fighter is destroyed, the drones are removed from the board.
