Checking in on the status on the new miniatures effort, as it's been a few months.
I know it likely "part of the list" of things to do, but any progress? |

I reviewed the new contract and sent my report to the lawyers yesterday. _________________ The Guy Who Designed Fed Commander

That's exciting news!
I just found out that the SFU is still a thing on another game's forum the other day! I haven't played for years! It's been so long since I've played that Federation Commander wasn't even a thing at the time!! So, anyway, I've been poking around the website for a couple days now and was disappointed to come across a number of dead shapeways links.
I don't have any fellow SFU players in my game group yet. Federation Commander looks like a great place to start, but trying to inspire a newcomer to pick it up with pewter minis might be difficult, even if they're nice. They can be more fiddly to build.
I can't wait to see what's next for the minis! |

Shapeways went bankrupt. Someone is trying to resurrect it but I think only in Europe. We are negotiating with a new provider but it will take two years to get the minis that sold significant quantities back on the market. I hope we have a few 7000s next month. _________________ The Guy Who Designed Fed Commander
