The Romulans, as usual, got denyed a Medium Dreadnought in R9 (as the slot was taken up by the Condor-M, I mean, who would of guessed anyone would want that?)
So how about a Medium Dreadnought for them, upgrading the Shriek to almost heavy-dreadnought status for them?
So basically it would be a below-hull add-on (like the C5/F-DNL did). that would have:
1) 2 FP-Plasma-F (as the Shriek loses it's 2xPlasma-F on the engines)
2) LS/RS Plasma-D (the gorn DNM adds these)
3) An additional LF+L/RF+R P-1
4) Some additional power (4?)
5) Upgrade the forward Plas-S to Plas-R.
The FP arcs on the Plasma-Fs would be so it's just different than the Condor/CNH. The side-plasma-Ds would still give it all-around deterants to PFs/ftrs/drones.
F+E wise, this would probably be a '15' like the CNH (as my understanding is that the DNL-DNM was to make the DNL's have DNH firepower.)
EDIT: Obviously, the MC would be increased to 1.5

PETRICK ANALYSIS
Shrike M medium dreadnought. We could do a conjectural design of what the Romulans were thinking of doing, but the single example of the class was destroyed in Y177, and it seems unlikely the Romulans would have built a second ship just to convert it. Or that they would have considered the conversion as something to build instead of a regular Condor. There just does not seem any real purpose to this other than a “this is what the Romulans might have done.”
COLE ANALYSIS
I think the vocal group of players opposed to anything conjectural is not to be given veto power over every ship and product. We do not HAVE to do this ship but it seems perfectly valid.
FINAL ANALYSIS
It can stay in the selection pool for now but competion for the (95?) available pages will be stiff.
