Thanks to the recent posting of old Starletters, I've learned about some Hydran X-ships I had no idea ever existed...

Specifically, the:
Lord Arch Bishop-X Command Cruiser
Warrior-X Destroyer Leader
Warrior-HX Destroyer Leader
Stinger-HX X-Fighter

Now, since this Starletter was published in 1987, a lot has changed in SFB in general, and with X-ships specifically, but do these forgotten ships have a place in the world after Doomsday?

I think the Steves have vetoed a ST-HX before. As for the other ones, there aren't that many (any?) other X-Leaders out there, so you'd need to create some for everyone.

I would like to see some thinking on what to do with the fusion armed x-ships. Surely the Hydrans could do better, eventually. At the very least, replace the fusion beams with phaser-1s. But a new weapon, or alternate mode of the fusion beam, that maintains Hydran characteristics would be best.

Don't forget, the Hydran DWs did not exist in the game back then, and would probably repalce the Warrior types.
