ANNEX #4: Rule (J16.22), is the rule that should have been used in Annex #4 for the effects of megapacks on dogfight ratings, so any fighter (or bomber) with a dogfight rating of zero or less than zero without megapacks should have the same dogfight rating with megapacks, and any fighter or bomber with a dogfight rating of one or two without megapacks should have a dogfight rating no less than zero with megapacks. This affects a lot of fighters and bombers, and is therefore a major foulup for which I take full resposibility.

General question on Annex 7G (Carrier Information), for units with external mech links for thier fighters shouldn't the number of bays be shown with the external bays?

Example: The Orion CSV (R8.43, J2, pg 45, SSD J2, pg 51); Annex 7G shows 1 bay but shouldn't it show 1(+4E) to show there are four external bays?

Ken Kazinski:

The Orion CSV does not have "external bays". It has just the one internal bay. Read its ship description. While it carried some of its heavy fighters on mech links it could not service the fighters that were on the mech links (they are not "bays" for any purpose, they are just mechlinks).

While various Federation carriers (e.g., those operating F-111s) have the mech link bays listed, those bays are specifically capable of operating as bays, i.e., the fighters can be re-armed and/or repaired.

All the Orion CSV can do is dock the fighters to its mechlinks, they are not "bays" for any purpose (restated again for emphasis, not for any other purpose), so they are not listed in the "bays" column for the Orion CSV.
