The Jindarian LCS/HCS has the potential to be a tremendous asset when converted into a CV. The LCV/HCV would be almost potentially self escorting with the MRG's fired in defensive mode, and would not require as large of an escort group as the Galactic powers equivalent CVs. I'm placing both here to represent the split between the LCS/HCS in caravan usage.

Both would be more survivable in the later years compared to the large investment made in the DDV, and would be more likely to return from the missions that a DDV would be used for.

LCS>LCV Change the NWO's Shuttle boxes to Fighters. Add 2 more shuttle boxes to represent the space savings incurred with making the NWO's as part of the main shuttle bay. Using the added shuttle boxes to give the LCV 2 more Prospecting shuttles, and retain the usage of the two prospecting shuttles normally on the LCS enabling the LCV to help support itself in the caravan.

This would give the LCV 12f/4p/2a

HCS>HCV As with the LCV change the NWO's to shuttle/fighter boxes. Do NOT give the additional space savings of two extra shuttle boxes from making the bay a single item. Since the HCS is already so crowded it would probably result in more space actually given to the other boxes and wont actually show up on the SSD. (Simplifying the SSD legerdemain.)

This results in the 12f/2p/2a making the HCV slightly less able to support itself than the LCV.

The big weakness in both designs is that there would only be one shuttle bay for launch purposes restricting the capability of the CV's to reload/rearm the fighters. This remains consistent with the DDV.

The main advantage over the DDV is that both would have Prospecting shuttles and the aforementioned almost self escorting capability of the MRG's in defensive mode.

Many Jindavos are nervous about putting to many assets into a single asteroid hull (or to much firepower). The metal hulls though have to support the caravan since even as self sufficient as they are the metal ships need the support of the asteroid ships to maintain themselves. This gives the Jindavo more incentive to maximize his supporting units.

Besides while the loss of a CV is of no laughing matter the cost is infinetely more preferable to the loss of even a single Asteroid ship.
